Faith – Introduction to Daily Writings

Faith. Now it seems simple enough, right? I mean, it is so spelled out in black and white, yet over 90 percent of our Christian population still has trouble with this simple word. Okay world, let us get real and let us review ourselves and what we have been taught. You were taken to church, you were saved and probably got some type of baptism, and then left out there in the pew to listen to the Pastor talk to you each week, right? Oh, and how dare I forget to say to those out there and if I am offending anyone, it is probably a burden on your heart anyway, yes those who make sure to get nicely dressed and attend Sunday school.

But, have you once heard me mention “faith”? How does one get there? Easy, no. Hard, yes. First, I think you must find where you are in the faith game. However, most importantly is to know it will come. Slowly and when it does, it will hit ya in the head, a light will come on inside, and wow, you will discover you have been walking around quoting scriptures, singing in church, and did not realize you had not stopped once to think about faith.

Faith is constant. It gives and takes. I am hoping to write to you an entire series on faith. Go ahead and say it—you think you have it! I did for years. I felt I could move mountains and wanted to know why I was always in the valley; of course, that is another story that I plan on writing.

I truly hope that you will enjoy my series on faith. I am planning on being in the women’s ministry and you thought Beth Moore and Joyce Myers were tough. You haven’t seen anything yet. I have been writing and studying so hard to bring a good message and would love to do so daily.

Faith comes by seeking. You must ask for it; it is free, but not really. You see, to say free would make it too easy for each of you. A faith walk is one where you go and drop all your worries and cares at your feet and just walk. I hope each one of you will go on this journey with me and learn to love Christ and get some faith.
