My husband and I went to the Hampton Inn in Ocean City MD for our 10th wedding Anniversary. We got a really nice suite with a jaccuzi tub. The tub had black hairs all through it. I cleaned it myself with clorox that I bought there trying to make the best of it for our anniversary. We went into the kitchenette and it smelled like cooked eggs, opened the dishwasher and it was full of dirty dishes. We called the manager, he came up and ran the dishwasher, didn't even add his own dishsoap ???? That's it. Unbelievable! We left.
I am staying in a hotel right now in Mississippii. Since I've been here, I have not seen them change the bedspread or blankets.
What was the story on the glasses? I couldn't open the article.
I stayed at the Hawthorn Suites in Atlanta and had the pleasure of pulling the covers back on bed, sliding in, feeling something wet and discovering a large circle of urine from the prior guest that had been covered up by the house keeper by simply making up the bed. I called the front desk, complained and slept on the couch. Next morning, several men showed up, changed my mattress and I watched as they simply turned it over and put it in another room. After "requesting" the manager at breakfast, he came to my table, apologized and said he would investigate. Never heard another word from him and to make matters worse, they actually tried to charge me at check out. I hit the ceiling, the charges were canceled and I left. I wrote the main company. No response and I turned them over to OSHA. I have never had a more disgusting experience and I travel some 300 days a year. I'll sleep on a park bench before I ever stay at Hawthorn Suites in any state. That motel in Atlanta closed.
We travel with a green Botanical disinfectant that kills 99% of staph, strep, HIV 1 and 2 as well as a host of other invasive germs. I also use a product that not only eliminates mold and mildew, it help destroy airborne bacteria and best of all CREEPY CRAWLERS cannot exist in its presence! However, I truly did not know about the drinking cups! The cute little paper covers lulled me into believing that somehow these glasses came from their industrial kitchen's dishwasher! Disposables for me! And I's rather bring my own! For more information about an amazing line of safer products please contact me!
