Stop Buying Gossip Magazines

By: Lori Harfenist (View Profile)

I admit that gossip magazines have been a guilty pleasure of mine in the past. But somewhere along the line, I got really sick of them telling me what to want to wear, how to act, or who to care about. It’s all a load of yuckiness, and we should stop feeding into this culture-killing industry!

Pretty funny.I admit I am addicted to celebrity gossip.I don't buy the mags but I do read the crap on aol. It's so enticing.I don't think the gossip mags are as damaging to women as mags like glamour and cosmo who, every month, have an article on how to obsess over how to please a man. Those are the mags I refuse to buy. These mags are why men have such huge egos.Who wouldn't have a huge ego if every time you go into a store you see these mags with articles like this?

Hilarious! They are just ridiculous -- why do women read gossip/celebrity magazines??? We complain that society puts too much pressure on women to "look" or dress a certain way yet we buy into all the advertising and influence when we purchase celebrity magazines. Anyone know why?
