All Wits, No Connection

Without connection, all wits are useless …

What is the difference between a bought-transcript-of-record costing 30 thousand pesos and a hard-earned one costing almost your life?

Bought: you get promoted easily, no questions.

Hard-earned, you get questioned …

My paper for T3 was returned five times …

First attempt for T2: Documents are lacking. Fine. Completed laboriously. Submitted.

Returned after a week: Documents not arranged properly/orderly. I wanted to ask … What is the job of the personnel in charge of checking and receiving the papers? Can’t they do a little effort to do the arranging? Anyway, all the way from Iba, my papers, as my principal as the “carrier,” traveled back to San Antonio for the matter—arranging. Done. Submitted.

Second attempt: Submitted with the thought that the checklist of requirements was religiously followed.

Returned. SDS when visiting SMNHS recommended re-classification of position from T1 to HT (but I have noticed the uncertainty in the thing said for the SDS seem not to be really aware of what she was saying for details about the recommendation were not specified as to the “how” of the matter. But admittedly, I was quite excited about the news because that is going to be two steps higher that my target position. Nevertheless, I worked on the needed papers with the “guidance” ( sorry for doubting) of my principal.

Third attempt: Submitted but with changes in the recommended position from HT (SDS) to T3 (my principal). I don’t know but I obeyed my immediate superior out of respect. I was stunned by the thought that can decide over what the SDS dictates. Well …

Submitted: Reclassification of position from T1 to T3.

Returned after a week. Checklist for ERF is different from checklist for Reclassification. Apparently, I followed the checklist for ERF. Therefore, papers were not arranged in proper order and that some documents are still needed. I worked on the arrangement of the papers and the additional papers patiently. And when it’s done, submitted compiled in a very neat and tabbed folder enclosed in an envelop to maintain its neatness for as they say, whatever we submit is our reflection. Yes, I have always made it a point that I make things orderly and neat for submission; presentable that is.

Fourth attempt: Submitted following the checklist for Reclassification, T1 to T3 plus the additional documents needed.
