Congratulations! By now, you have probably completed your first and hopefully, not your last marathon. I know the challenges and hurdles you faced. Over thirty years ago I decided to run a marathon. It seemed the ultimate challenge for me - to run, jog and walk 26.2 miles. Some of my friends and family members thought I was crazy. Perhaps they were right. I was warned about "hitting the wall" and, unfortunately, I did. Still, I managed to finish the race, breaking the distance literally into thousands of affirmations of "just one more step." Oddly enough, when I finished in 4 hours and 35 minutes, I wasn't satisfied. I decided to continue running marathons until I broke four hours. I did and have pared back on the distances. I hope you attempt more marathons. Personally, there have been few personal accomplishments that I revere more than training for and completing those marathons. You might feel the same way. Good luck.
