Chocolate Martini

By: Global Chefs (View Profile)

When I want to look cool—I drink a chocolate martini. The only thing is I always forget about the chuck of chocolate that sits at the bottom of the glass. Invariably, I choke on it—how cool is that? To avoid this rather humiliating situation, I suggest the making of chocolate lollipops … Allow a chunk chocolate to sit at room temperature. When it is soft enough, pierce it with a swanky cocktail stick and place the newly made chocolate lollipop in the fridge to set.

Chocolate Martini

Ingredients
100ml (4 fluid ounces) Grey Goose vodka
50ml (2 fluid ounces) chocolate liqueur
Ice cubes
25ml (1 fluid ounces) sugar syrup
Four chocolate chunks (two to garnish and two for the rim of the glass)

Directions

Using two pieces of chocolate, make two lollipops. Finely grate the remaining chunks. Dip the rim of the glasses into the sugar syrup then into the grated chocolate. Pour the vodka and liqueur into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until very cold, pour into a cocktail glass, and garnish with a lollipop.
