Some mornings I wake up and feel like shit and those are the days everyone around me will notice and say, "Wow, you look like shit today." But then other days, I wake up and feel, "I'm IT, I am so IT today!" and I want to shout it from the hilltops because no one seems to notice that my hair is especially shiny and my nose is especially unshiny. Feeling "it" should be celebrated; I'm thinking we should all have these ego award pins––they say "Yo Soy Esa" or (loosely translated) "I'm am it" so we can display our pride the way we did when we were "star of the day" in kindergarten. P.S. You look like IT today!

If you've ever felt like a scapegoat, guinea pig, or ugly duckling, then this black sheep necklace is for you. It's a "power to the underdogs" kind of talisman. See, black sheep were considered a sign of the devil in 18th and 19th century England, and in families today, the so-called odd ones in a family––the black sheep––are much gossipped, fretted, and sighed over. This necklace however, proves that the black sheep––the one who dares to be different––is a most precious and beautiful thing. I just love this necklace.

I get so much enjoyment out of changing months on my calendar. When I flipped over to October the other day (okay, this morning), I felt such a sense of satisfaction, like "That's the great big month of September crossed off my to-do list." It's not that I'm in a rush to get through my months here, rather that my calendar is kind of blah, and months are the only things I seem to cross off my lists these days. I just came across this hilarious "Stuff on My Cat" calendar for 2009, and I can't imagine wanting to cross off months represented with images like a cat wearing an Afro wig or a head of cabbage!
