The story of Karen Silkwood, a metallurgy worker at a plutonium processing plant who was purposefully contaminated, psychologically tortured and possibly murdered to prevent her from exposing blatant worker safety violations at the plant. (via IMDB)
9. Baraka (1992)
A movie with no conventional plot: merely a collection of expertly photographed scenes. Subject matter has a highly environmental theme.
10. The China Syndrome (1979)
A reporter finds what appears to be a cover-up of safety hazards at a nuclear power plant.
