If you have not seen one of the recent Levi 501 Jeans commercials, you maybe in for a bit of a shock when you do. The ad shows 2 rather youngish looking people (a girl and a boy at a guess about 15 years old) facing each other and slowly unbuttoning their 501s. He says some stuff to her and she says something like 'Don't you trust me?' and then they continue unbuttoning their Jeans eventually jumping into the waterway they are standing near. I forget what the tagline for the ad is because I am rather taken aback by Levi's obvious encouragement of teenagers taking off their clothes together and the sexual connotations of the ad. There is enough teenage pregnancy in this country already. Take Lynn Spears and Palin's daughter for example.
When I was growing up there was and I did participate in teenage sex. Now that I am older I realize how lucky I was that I did not wind up pregnant. There is so much of children being taken care of by children that there are child care facilities in schools. It just floors me a major company like Levi would seem to encourage teen sex in an ad.
I, for one, will be avoiding buying anymore Levi items just so I do not contribute my money to their ad campaign. You choose for yourself.
